LARC is one of the sponsoring organizers of the Recursion in Brazilian Languages and Beyond conference, which will take place in the first week of August in Rio de Janeiro. UMass alumni Ana Perez-Leroux, Bart Hollebrandse will give papers, as will Jon Nelson, Luiz Amaral, and Suzi Lima. Tom Roeper gives one of the Keynotes: "Recursion typology and the Acquisition Path." Tom Roeper writes that there will be a small institute with courses associated with the conference that Luiz Amaral, Ana Perez-Leroux, Uli Sauerland and Tom Roeper will be teaching at.
