Alumna Maribel Romero (Konstanz University) will be visiting the department this week. She is giving a talk on biased questions in the semantics seminar on Wednesday, April 2. The seminar meets from 2:30 to 5:15 in the Partee room.
Maribel has worked on a variety of topics in semantics, syntax/semantic, computational semantics, and pragmatics including ellipsis, reconstruction, questions, temporal interpretation, concealed questions, negation, the scope of quantifiers, superlatives, and focus. You can get a more complete picture of her range from her website here. She’ll be available for meetings this coming week, which you can arrange through Angelika Kratzer.
